Document Reference: TW-218
The Residual
TW-218 cannot be contained. The alumni monitoring programme is voluntary. M.A.L.I.C.E provides support resources for former personnel experiencing distressing perceptions. Seventeen former personnel have re-joined the organisation following elevated perception events.
TW-218 is a phenomenon in which M.A.L.I.C.E personnel who leave the organisation continue to perceive anomalous activity at a modestly elevated rate compared to the general population — approximately 3× — regardless of their prior exposure or clearance level. No mechanism has been identified. The effect does not diminish over time. Former personnel are monitored via a voluntary alumni programme. The majority describe the elevated perception as 'a fact of life now' and adjust accordingly.
TW-218 was identified via analysis of anomaly reports submitted to M.A.L.I.C.E's public tip line, which showed a statistically significant over-representation of former M.A.L.I.C.E employees as submitters.
No incident reports on file.
