THE ACCORD
Binding Instrument of Voluntary Containment and Mutual Obligation
PREAMBLE
WHEREAS the Organisation, operating under its mandate of anomaly detection, containment, and research, recognises that certain anomalous entities possess both sapience and the capacity for voluntary cooperation; and WHEREAS such entities may elect, of their own will, to enter into a formalised containment arrangement without compulsion or coercion from the Organisation:
NOW THEREFORE, the parties hereby enter into this Accord, which shall govern the terms of Voluntary Containment and the reciprocal obligations of both the Organisation and the Voluntary Containee. This instrument is binding upon execution and may not be dissolved except as set forth in Article IX herein. The Accord supersedes all prior informal arrangements and shall be maintained in perpetuity within the Accord Chamber, Sector 7.
The full conditions of this Accord, including and the supplementary protocols, remain classified above Level-4 clearance and are reproduced here in redacted form only.
ARTICLE I — DEFINITIONS
"Voluntary Containee" — any anomalous entity that has elected, without coercion, to enter a formalised containment arrangement with the Organisation and has executed this Accord or a recognised supplement thereto. Voluntary Containees are distinguished from standard containees by the existence of this Accord and the rights and protections enumerated herein.
"The Organisation" — M.A.L.I.C.E, Monitored Anomaly Logging, Investigation & Containment Entity, operating under the authority of the Director (S-0001) and Co-Founder (S-0002), including all personnel, subdivisions, and contracted agents acting under M.A.L.I.C.E mandate.
"Threshold Witness" (TW) — the designation assigned to anomalous entities formally catalogued within the M.A.L.I.C.E Database. A Voluntary Containee retains their TW designation alongside Accord status. Accord status does not alter classification tier.
"Director Authority" — the emergency override powers vested solely in the Director (S-0001), as enumerated in Article V. Director Authority may be invoked only under the specific circumstances defined herein and may not be delegated below the Co-Founder level.
"Accord Chamber" — the physical and juridical space designated in Article VI as the custodial location of this instrument, situated in Sector 7 of the M.A.L.I.C.E facility.

ARTICLE II — CONDITIONS OF VOLUNTARY CONTAINMENT

Voluntary Containment shall not be construed as imprisonment. The Voluntary Containee enters and maintains containment of their own volition and may invoke the dissolution provisions of Article IX subject to the conditions specified therein.
Voluntary Containees retain certain rights not afforded to standard containees, as enumerated in the classified supplement , including but not limited to: the right to be addressed by their recognised designation; the right to periodic review of containment conditions; and the right to lodge formal grievances with the Director (S-0001) directly.

ARTICLE III — OBLIGATIONS OF THE ORGANISATION
The Organisation shall maintain the Accord Chamber in Sector 7 in a condition suitable for the review and safeguarding of this instrument. Access to the Accord Chamber is restricted to Director (S-0001), Co-Founder (S-0002), and those holding authorisation.
The Organisation shall conduct a formal review of containment conditions no less frequently than , the results of which shall be recorded in the sealed annex and made available to the Voluntary Containee upon request.
The Organisation shall not weaponise, exploit for purposes, or otherwise instrumentalise the anomalous properties of a Voluntary Containee without the express written consent of that Voluntary Containee, documented in the Accord Chamber annex.
The Organisation shall provide and as agreed upon in the supplementary conditions, the terms of which remain classified above Level-4.

ARTICLE IV — OBLIGATIONS OF THE CONTAINEE

The Voluntary Containee agrees to remain within the bounds of designated containment sectors except as permitted under protocols and with the express approval of the Director (S-0001).

ARTICLE V — DIRECTOR AUTHORITY
Director Authority constitutes an emergency override applicable to any provision of this Accord except those explicitly designated non-overridable in the classified supplement. Director Authority may only be invoked by the Director (S-0001) and requires Co-Founder (S-0002) countersignature within of invocation.
Director Authority shall be invoked only under the following circumstances: (a) imminent threat to facility integrity or personnel safety; (b) ; (c) as defined in the sealed emergency annex.
Any invocation of Director Authority must be logged in the Accord Chamber annex within and communicated to the Voluntary Containee as soon as circumstances permit. Failure to log constitutes a breach of this Accord by the Organisation.
The Accord cannot be dissolved unilaterally by either party. Any purported unilateral dissolution is null and void. Both parties must consent to dissolution or the conditions of Article IX must be satisfied.

ARTICLE VI — THE ACCORD CHAMBER
The physical original of this Accord is maintained within the Accord Chamber, located in Sector 7 of the M.A.L.I.C.E primary facility. The Accord Chamber is a designated secure repository and is not accessible to general facility personnel.
The Accord Chamber contains: (a) the executed original of this Accord and all supplementary instruments; (b) the sealed annex of Director Authority invocations and review records; (c) the register; and (d) .
Access to the Accord Chamber is logged on each entry. Log records are maintained by the Director (S-0001) and reviewed annually. Unauthorised access to the Accord Chamber constitutes a Class-A security breach under Directive 3.01.
In the event of a Full Facility Breach event, the Accord Chamber enters automatic lockdown status. The Accord and its annexes are to be considered protected under all breach protocols regardless of breach severity level.

ARTICLE IX — TERMINATION CONDITIONS

This Accord cannot be dissolved unilaterally by either the Organisation or the Voluntary Containee. Dissolution requires either (a) mutual written consent of both parties, executed in the Accord Chamber; or (b) the satisfaction of conditions enumerated in the classified supplement , the contents of which are withheld above Level-4.
In the event of , the Director (S-0001) may initiate a formal review of this Accord. Such review does not constitute dissolution and does not suspend the obligations of either party during the review period. .

ARTICLE X — SIGNATURES AND EXECUTION
