The Last Garden

Active
Classification: Class-II
Containment Procedures

TW-216 is monitored under a conservation research arrangement with the caretaker's knowledge and consent. Botanical analysis of the specimens is ongoing. The caretaker has asked M.A.L.I.C.E not to remove any plants. M.A.L.I.C.E has agreed.

Description

TW-216 is a private garden in which every plant that has ever died elsewhere can be found growing in perfect health. The plants are identifiable — known extinct species, specific specimens previously destroyed in fires or logging — existing here as though the events that ended them did not. The garden's caretaker, an elderly individual, claims to have planted nothing. They say the plants simply appear. They water them. The garden is 3 acres and growing.

Discovery Log

TW-216 was identified when a botanist hired by the caretaker to name their garden's plants contacted M.A.L.I.C.E in considerable agitation after identifying a plant species that had been officially declared extinct for 140 years.
