The Unwitnessed
TW-191 events are monitored via M.A.L.I.C.E's global CCTV access. Each event is investigated. Objects are examined and, if anomalous, retained. To date, all objects have been assessed as completely ordinary.
TW-191 is a phenomenon in which objects — sometimes large ones, up to the size of a small vehicle — appear in populated public spaces with no witness to their arrival. CCTV confirms the object was not present one frame and present the next. Passersby do not react with surprise proportional to a large object appearing from nowhere. Investigation suggests a mild reality-smoothing effect accompanies TW-191 events, normalising the appearance in observers' minds. The objects are always mundane. The appearance mechanism is entirely unknown.
TW-191 was identified when an analyst reviewing CCTV for an unrelated investigation noticed a car appear on a pedestrianised street with no surrounding footage of its arrival and no visible driver.
