The Tender
TW-179 is monitored via long-range camera. Contact is not attempted per Director standing order. A welfare assessment is conducted annually and consistently concludes the phenomenon is benign.
TW-179 is a phenomenon associated with a woodland area where a figure has been observed by independent witnesses over 60 years tending to injured animals — wrapping wounds, providing food, appearing to communicate with subjects. The figure is always described identically but has aged at no discernible rate across all witness accounts. Animals treated by TW-179 consistently recover from injuries that should be fatal. The figure has never been approached; it retreats before any observer reaches it.
TW-179 was first formally reported by a veterinary student who observed the figure treating a deer with a compound fracture. The student described the fracture as healed in under 10 minutes. The deer was found healthy in the area for 3 years afterward.
