TW-177 is a hotel suite in [REDACTED] that is always checked in to but never occupied by a traceable guest. The booking exists in the system, payment is made in advance via an untraceable account, and housekeeping reports signs of occupancy each morning — rumpled sheets, used towels, empty minibar. CCTV shows no guest entering or leaving. The name in the booking changes each stay but is always a known historical figure, always deceased, always appropriate to the room's date of construction.

TW-177 was flagged by a hotel revenue manager who noticed a suite had been continuously booked for 7 years without a single traceable occupant.
