The Bone Library

Active
Classification: Class-IV
Containment Procedures

The cave is under M.A.L.I.C.E exclusive access under a geological survey framework. No specimens are to be removed. A team works to decode the symbol system. Whoever — or whatever — manages the library is assessed as active.

Description

TW-173 is a naturally formed cave system containing what appear to be skeletal remains arranged with deliberate, library-like organisation — rows of bones catalogued by apparent species, age, and an unidentified third criterion expressed in a symbol system carved into the cave walls. The cave contains specimens of approximately 340 species, including several considered extinct. Most specimens are several centuries old. One section of the library contains specimens of a species M.A.L.I.C.E has not been able to classify. Three specimens in this section are less than 5 years old.

Discovery Log

TW-173 was located by a caving team working under M.A.L.I.C.E contract to survey the region. The team's lead described feeling 'expected.'
