The Pressure Drop

Classification: Class-II
Containment Procedures

TW-164's valley is marked as a restricted zone under an environmental protection framework. The repeat visitor population — approximately 40 known individuals — is monitored. Addiction to TW-164 exposure has not been formally classified but is being assessed.

Description

TW-164 is a location-specific phenomenon in a mountain valley where atmospheric pressure drops to physiologically dangerous levels for a period of 3–7 minutes with no meteorological explanation, at random intervals between once a week and once a month. Affected individuals experience euphoria, visual disturbances, and brief vivid hallucinations described consistently as 'more real than real life.' No lasting harm has been documented. Repeat visitors have been observed intentionally seeking exposure.

Discovery Log

TW-164 was identified when a mountaineering group lodged a report about a 'weather event' after two members were briefly incapacitated. Their descriptions of the hallucination matched accounts in a local legend dating back 200 years.
