The Forgotten Shelf
TW-161 is in active monitoring status. The shelf is photographed daily. Its contents have not changed in 4 years. Personnel are not to spend extended periods attempting to memorise the shelf's contents — three have developed persistent short-term memory issues from the attempt.
TW-161 is a shelf in M.A.L.I.C.E's own Archival Division that no personnel member is able to remember the contents of more than 30 seconds after looking at it. Items on the shelf have been catalogued via instant camera photographs taken simultaneously with viewing — the photographs confirm the shelf contains 23 items, none of which any personnel member can recall. Attempts to remove items from the shelf have resulted in the items being back on the shelf the following day.
TW-161 was identified when an archivist filed a concern that a section of shelving had 'never had anything on it' despite photographic evidence to the contrary in every prior inspection photograph.
No incident reports on file.
