The Dreamer's Debt
TW-139 subjects are in shared sleep accommodation. No two TW-139 subjects may share sleep space — one pairing produced recursive dream exchange leaving both unable to identify their own memories.
TW-139 is a phenomenon in 6 individuals who cannot dream without a second person asleep nearby. Alone they sleep without dreaming. When someone sleeps within arm's reach, TW-139 dreams normally but the adjacent sleeper experiences the subject's dreams in place of their own — permanently, for life.
TW-139 was identified when a marital dispute was referred: one partner claimed all their dreams belonged to the other; the other had never dreamed.
