The Honest Room
Room 14B is locked on all floors where it has been observed. Its current location is recorded at the start of each shift. Use for interrogation has been proposed and denied three times. It is checked weekly for trapped personnel.
TW-136 is Room 14B in M.A.L.I.C.E's own administrative wing — not present on original blueprints — that moves between floors of the facility at irregular intervals. Its location on any given day can only be determined by walking the relevant corridors. Regardless of which floor it occupies, the room number reads 14B. Personnel who enter are unable to leave until they speak aloud something true they have never previously admitted. The door does not physically prevent departure; subjects simply do not leave until the condition is met. No mechanism for either property has been identified.
Room 14B was first identified when a new staff member searching for a bathroom became stranded for 4 hours before admitting they had inflated their CV. They were released and kept their position. A subsequent floor-plan audit confirmed the room's absence from original construction documents. Its mobility was identified three months later when it was found on a floor it had not previously occupied.
