TW-126 family members are monitored under discreet welfare surveillance. They are not held in custody. A M.A.L.I.C.E liaison is available to them at all times under the guise of a family support worker. Coercive containment of TW-126 subjects is expressly forbidden by Director mandate.

TW-126 is a legal designation for an anomalous trait documented across 3 generations of a single family: the ability to perceive the moment of a person's death upon first physical contact. The perception is involuntary, precise (accurate to within minutes), and cannot be suppressed. Family members are aware of the trait and have varying levels of distress relating to it. The eldest living carrier has not shaken a hand in 30 years. The youngest, aged 4, has not yet been observed to make contact with a non-family member and is considered at-risk for distress.

TW-126 was identified when the family's grandmother contacted M.A.L.I.C.E's public tip line and described the trait, stating she wanted her grandchildren to receive support she had never had.
