The Folded City
No containment is possible without confirmed access. M.A.L.I.C.E maintains a surface monitoring post under the guise of a utility company. Subsurface investigation is approved but ongoing. Personnel assigned to the investigation have a documented elevated rate of unexplained absences.
TW-122 is a theoretical designation for a geographic phenomenon suspected but not confirmed to exist beneath a major urban centre in [REDACTED]. Anomalous subsurface readings, consistent disappearances in a 4-block radius, and recovered testimony from 3 amnestic civilians all point to the existence of a secondary urban environment beneath the surface one — a city that runs parallel to the above, with its own streets, structures, and population. Whether the population is aware of M.A.L.I.C.E's surface world is unknown.
TW-122 was first theorised when cross-referencing 14 missing persons cases in a 4-block radius found that all 14 eventually returned with no memory of the gap period but carrying objects — keys, coins, paper receipts — from architecturally unfamiliar designs.
No incident reports on file.
