The building is under M.A.L.I.C.E surveillance. Research access requires Level 2 clearance and a buddy system. No documents are to be removed from TW-109 — two prior attempts resulted in the documents being back in their cabinets when researchers next entered, with no explanation. The elevator call must not be used while standing on TW-109's floor — the elevator consistently arrives empty and the doors do not close once open.
TW-109 is a floor that exists in a specific 22-story office building in ████████ that does not appear on any architectural plan, fire safety schematic, or building permit. Accessed via the elevator only (the stairwell shows no corresponding landing), the floor exists between the 9th and 10th floors and can be reached by pressing both buttons simultaneously. The floor contains furnished offices with active computers, filing cabinets full of documents in an unidentified language, and a receptionist desk that is always warm but always empty. No occupant has ever been observed. The documents have not been successfully translated. The computers power on but show only a white screen.
TW-109 was reported by a building maintenance worker who accessed the elevator shaft and observed the anomalous floor. The worker reported the floor to their supervisor, who contacted M.A.L.I.C.E via an anonymous tip line. The maintenance worker has since left the company and cannot be located.

Research team entered TW-109 and found the receptionist desk chair pushed back as if recently vacated. Coffee mug was warm. A single document had been placed on top of the inbox tray facing outward, as if left for someone to collect. The document contained 14 words in the unidentified language and, beneath them, a single line in English: 'We are aware of your visits. This is not a problem.'
