TW-090 is a phenomenon in which conversations between two people are joined by a third voice that neither party can identify. The voice is audible to both participants and participates coherently in the conversation, offering relevant information, answering questions, and occasionally redirecting the conversation in productive directions. Recording equipment captures the voice. It speaks in whichever language the conversation is being conducted in. It has never been traced to a source. It never identifies itself.

TW-090 was identified when two researchers listened to a recording of a meeting they had attended and heard a third voice on the recording that neither had noticed at the time. Subsequent investigation confirmed the voice was present in the room.
