TW-089 is a phenomenon in which individuals sporadically find objects of value that precisely meet a current need: a lost key appears in a coat pocket, a specific book appears on a doorstep, emergency medication appears in a drawer. The recipients have no explanation for the objects' presence. The objects are always exactly right. No mechanism has been identified. The phenomenon is entirely benign and the only documented anomaly to have received formal commendation in a M.A.L.I.C.E internal report.

TW-089 was identified through a statistical analysis of unusual-acquisition reports filed with various agencies. The pattern of precise, timely gifts was identified as non-coincidental.
