The Still Point
TW-082 is fenced under a conservation cover story. Entry is monitored and logged. Research into long-term effects of repeated exposure is ongoing. No personnel are to use TW-082 for personal benefit without authorisation.
TW-082 is a location — a small clearing in woodland near ████████ — at which time passes at a rate approximately 6% slower than the surrounding area. The effect is consistent and measurable. Clocks in the clearing run slow by the same margin. Biological processes are also affected — food placed in the clearing spoils more slowly, wounds heal at a reduced rate. The effect does not extend to consciousness: visitors do not feel time passing slowly, but emerge having aged slightly less than those who waited outside.
TW-082 was identified by a research team conducting a botanical survey when they noticed that time-sensitive equipment was consistently reporting slightly later than control equipment left outside the clearing.
No incident reports on file.
