Containment Procedures

TW-076 cannot be contained. All M.A.L.I.C.E documents are version-controlled and reviewed regularly for unauthorised revisions. The mechanism by which TW-076 identifies inaccuracies and the source of its corrections are unknown.

Description

TW-076 is a phenomenon in which printed documents — books, reports, newspapers — are found to have been revised between readings. The revisions are small: a changed word, an altered date, a different name. The revisions are not damaging to the document's meaning. In each case, the revised version appears to be more accurate than the original. M.A.L.I.C.E documents have been revised 14 times. In 3 cases, the revisions corrected factual errors that had not been noticed by the original authors.

Discovery Log

TW-076 was identified by a librarian who noticed that a specific book had a different publication date on second reading. The original publication date had been incorrect. Investigation confirmed the phenomenon across multiple document types.
