The Correspondent's Hand
TW-072 is contained in a dedicated research room in Sub-Level 2. Access requires Level 3 clearance. All questions and answers are logged. The hand is not to be removed from its containment room. The hand's origin has not been determined.
TW-072 is a severed hand, right-handed, preserved in an indeterminate state — neither decayed nor living. The hand writes. When placed near paper, it will take a pen and write in a small, neat hand. The writing is always in response to the most recent question asked aloud in its presence, regardless of who asked it or whether they were addressing the hand. The answers are consistently accurate and occasionally prefaced with 'I was not asked to answer this, but' followed by a piece of information the questioner needed but had not thought to ask for.
TW-072 was recovered from the storage room of an estate whose owner had recently died intestate. A solicitor handling the estate found the hand writing in an otherwise empty room and alerted authorities. M.A.L.I.C.E acquired it within the week.
Incident Report #001 — Date: [REDACTED]
The hand wrote a 7-page document overnight that no one had requested. The document appears to be instructions. They are classified pending review. The hand has not repeated this behaviour.
