The Threshold Child
TW-068 cannot be contained. M.A.L.I.C.E monitors for sightings and deploys a response team when advance notice of a significant event allows. The question of what TW-068 is observing and why is a Priority 1 research concern.
TW-068 is a child, apparent age 8-10, who appears at the border of significant events — natural disasters, accidents, large public gatherings — standing at the periphery, watching. The child is always described identically: dark clothing, bare feet, expression unreadable. No adult is ever seen with the child. The child has never been approached — not because of any active avoidance, but because those who notice it consistently describe being unable to move toward it while it is present. Photographs exist. The child's face is never clear.
TW-068 was identified through cross-referencing of photographs from six different major events over a 15-year period. The same child appeared in all six, always at the periphery.

TW-068 was observed at the scene of a M.A.L.I.C.E field operation. This is the first documented instance of TW-068 appearing at an event rather than a natural disaster or public gathering. All field personnel reported the inability to approach. TW-068 watched the operation for approximately 20 minutes and then was no longer present. No one saw it leave.
