The Dreamer's Atlas

TW-051 is stored in Archive Room 3. Ongoing comparison with dream research databases is a standing project. Any new annotation is to be documented immediately and compared against all known dream records. The atlas is not to be shown to research subjects in dreaming studies.

TW-051 is a large-format atlas, published 1909, that maps locations that do not exist on Earth. The locations are named, described in marginal notes, and equipped with population figures and points of interest. Cross-referencing with 4,000 documented dream journals has revealed that 22 of the named locations are described in detail by dreamers who have never seen the atlas. Three locations have been described by dreamers in terms that match new annotations in TW-051 that were not present in the atlas at acquisition.

TW-051 was identified by a librarian who noticed the atlas's contents did not correspond to any known cartographic tradition. Cross-referencing with a personal collection of dream journals revealed the first geographic match.
