The Weeping Photograph
TW-044 is stored in a sealed frame in Archive Room 3. The frame is equipped with an absorbent liner that is replaced weekly. Identification of the individuals in the photograph is an ongoing research project. Identification of the building is an ongoing research project.
TW-044 is a black-and-white photograph, approximately 10x15cm, depicting a group of eight individuals standing in front of an unidentified building. The photograph weeps. Liquid — confirmed to be chemically identical to human tears — accumulates on the photograph's surface at a rate of approximately 0.3ml per hour. The liquid does not damage the photograph. The individuals in the photograph have not been identified. Their expressions are neutral. The building in the background has been partially matched to a structure demolished in 1962.
TW-044 was donated to a local historical society by a family who found it among a deceased relative's belongings. Society staff noticed the liquid accumulation and contacted a university, which escalated to M.A.L.I.C.E.
No incident reports on file.
