TW-042 is a phenomenon associated with doorways of a specific dimension: 203cm high, 81cm wide, with a wooden frame. Doorways matching these exact measurements, if left open between midnight and 3am, occasionally admit entities from an unidentified origin. The entities are humanoid, silent, and appear confused. They do not respond to communication. They dissolve within 4-6 hours of arrival, leaving no trace. Seven entities have been admitted and observed. One entity appeared to be writing something before dissolving. The writing was not recovered.
TW-042 was identified through correlation of unusual-visitor reports at a hotel with historic architecture. Staff had documented six instances of individuals appearing in rooms, being non-responsive to all staff, and then vanishing. M.A.L.I.C.E confirmed the doorway correlation.

A TW-042 entity appeared in a monitored room at 01:17. It was observed for 4 hours and 22 minutes. In the final 40 minutes it repeatedly touched its own face and looked at the monitoring camera. It appeared to see the camera. It dissolved at 05:39. Camera review shows it looked at the camera for approximately 3 minutes after researchers had left the observation room.
