TW-039 is a small black notebook found in ████████ in 2017. The notebook contains a complete and accurate index of every book in the British Library, including books acquired after the notebook's estimated date of manufacture in 1923. The index also includes 14 books that do not exist in any known library, archive, or publication record. Attempts to locate these 14 books are ongoing. The notebook does not update visibly — new entries have simply been found to have always been present upon reinspection.

TW-039 was found in a deceased antiquarian bookseller's estate. The estate executor noticed the index predicted the location of a recently published book and contacted an academic institution, which escalated to M.A.L.I.C.E.
