The Tidal Word

THE WORD is stored in written form in a sealed container in Vault 7. Knowledge of THE WORD is restricted to Level 4 personnel only. Briefings on TW-037 do not include THE WORD itself. Personnel with knowledge of THE WORD are prohibited from speaking near open water sources larger than 10 liters.

TW-037 is a single word, currently classified and referred to in all documentation only as 'THE WORD.' When THE WORD is spoken aloud in the presence of water — any amount, including a glass of water — the water rises. The degree of rising is proportional to the volume of water present. Oceans have not been tested. THE WORD produces no effect when spoken near water in solid or gaseous form. It appears in no known language. It was transcribed from the utterance of a child in 2009.

TW-037 was discovered when a child in ████████ spoke THE WORD during a visit to a public swimming pool. The pool water rose 1.4 meters before the child stopped speaking. M.A.L.I.C.E was alerted by local emergency services. The child has no memory of the event.
