The Second Shadow

Active
Classification: Class-III
Containment Procedures

TW-035 cannot be contained. M.A.L.I.C.E maintains a registry of known affected individuals. Affected individuals are monitored for secondary shadow behavior. Any individual whose shadow acts before them is to be placed under observation immediately and their activities restricted pending review.

Description

TW-035 is a shadow phenomenon. Certain individuals — approximately 1 in 40,000 — cast two shadows simultaneously, regardless of light source direction or intensity. The second shadow does not correspond to any visible object or body. In 34% of documented cases, the second shadow moves independently of the primary shadow. In 8% of cases, the second shadow has been observed to act in ways the primary individual has not yet performed. All affected individuals report being unaware of their second shadow until informed.

Discovery Log

TW-035 was identified through analysis of surveillance footage across multiple facilities. An analyst noticed recurring double-shadow anomalies and cross-referenced affected individuals. The registry currently contains 214 entries.
