The Folded Man
TW-029 has not been contained. All M.A.L.I.C.E facility vents, wall spaces, and subfloor cavities are to have sensors installed. Personnel are to report any sounds within walls or unusual temperature drops consistent with another body sharing a confined space. No personnel are to attempt solo apprehension of TW-029. A standing response team is on alert for TW-029 sighting reports. It is not currently known what TW-029 wants.
TW-029 is an entity capable of occupying spaces physically too small for a human body. It appears as a human male figure of approximately average build that compresses, folds, and angles its body to fit inside vents, wall cavities, beneath floorboards, and within any enclosed space with a minimum gap of approximately 4 centimeters. It moves in these spaces with apparent ease and near-total silence. TW-029 does not appear to need food, water, or air in quantities consistent with human biology. When observed in a space large enough for normal movement, it unfolds into a standing position and regards the observer for a period before retreating to a confined space. It has never been successfully apprehended. It appears to have been following M.A.L.I.C.E personnel for an unknown period.
TW-029 was discovered when a motion sensor within a wall cavity in Sector 6 triggered. Cameras placed inside the cavity recorded TW-029. Initial attempts to identify it as a human intruder were abandoned after footage revealed the degree of physical compression TW-029 demonstrates. It has been present in the facility for an estimated minimum of 2 years.
Incident Report #001 — Date: [REDACTED]
TW-029 was observed emerging from beneath a desk in a researcher's office and standing in the room for approximately 3 minutes while the researcher slept at their desk. TW-029 did not touch the researcher. It returned beneath the floor before the researcher woke. Footage reviewed the following morning.
Incident Report #002 — Date: [REDACTED]
TW-029 was observed in a vent above the room where this report is being written. The vent has since been sealed. A different vent nearby showed signs of access the following morning.
