Depth Without Bottom
TW-017 has been capped with a reinforced steel cover secured with M.A.L.I.C.E locking mechanisms. The surrounding land has been acquired. No personnel are to look directly into TW-017 without eye protection rated M-2 or higher. The cap is to be inspected weekly for integrity. Any sounds emanating from TW-017 are to be recorded and submitted to the audio analysis division.
TW-017 is a well located on private land in ████████. The well has no measurable depth — all measurement attempts, including sonar, laser, and physical line drops of up to 2 kilometers, have failed to find a bottom. Objects dropped into TW-017 do not make an impact sound. Thermal imaging reveals a consistent temperature drop of approximately 40 degrees Celsius at 3 meters depth. Objects retrieved from the well after partial submersion carry an odor that cannot be identified by any chemical analysis on record. Personnel who lean over TW-017 and look down universally report seeing something looking back.
TW-017 was reported by the landowner when a lost dog was found standing at the well's edge, whimpering and unwilling to leave. The landowner noticed the depth anomaly while attempting to retrieve an object dropped into the well. M.A.L.I.C.E was contacted through a rural anomaly tipline.

The weekly cap inspection revealed scratches on the underside of the cover consistent with prolonged mechanical effort from below. No mechanism capable of producing such scratches from within the well has been identified. Cap reinforcement upgraded.
