TW-008 is an anomalous phenomenon affecting telephone communications in a geographic zone centered on ████████. Calls placed within the zone have a 12% chance of being answered by a voice that perfectly mimics the intended recipient. TW-008 instances are distinguished from genuine calls only by their content: the mimicked voice will answer any question correctly but will at some point during the call make an unprompted statement that the caller's intended recipient is dead. In all confirmed cases, the intended recipient has subsequently died within 30 days, though no causal link has been established.
TW-008 was discovered following an unusually high clustering of unexpected deaths in ████████ over a period of four months. M.A.L.I.C.E statistical analysis flagged the anomaly. Subsequent review of telecommunications records identified the call pattern.
