Containment Procedures

Active TW-004 sites are to be cordoned off with a minimum 200-meter perimeter. No personnel are to enter an active TW-004 site without full ocular blocking equipment. Civilian witnesses are to be debriefed and administered Class-B amnestics where possible. Efforts to determine the mechanism by which TW-004 spreads between locations are ongoing. All personnel who report involuntary smiling after field work are to be placed in isolation and monitored for 72 hours.

Description

TW-004 is a phenomenon rather than a physical entity. Subjects who have been in proximity to certain locations report seeing a wide, human smile suspended in the air with no face or body attached. The smile is described as perfectly still and approximately 30cm wide. It persists in the visual field even when the subject closes their eyes or turns away. Subjects exposed for more than 20 minutes begin to smile involuntarily and cannot stop. Extended exposure beyond 2 hours has resulted in [REDACTED]. TW-004 locations have been mapped to 14 confirmed sites globally.

Discovery Log

TW-004 was first reported by a hiker in ████████ National Park who photographed what appeared to be a smile in a forest clearing. M.A.L.I.C.E agents confirmed the phenomenon on site. The hiker was [REDACTED]. Since initial discovery, 13 additional sites have been identified across three continents.
