Containment Procedures

TW-003 is to be stored in a sealed archival box within Secure Storage Locker 14. Access requires Level 2 clearance. The journal is to be photographically documented every 48 hours to track new map appearances. Personnel are not to follow any map provided by TW-003 without a full field team and prior authorization from senior M.A.L.I.C.E personnel. Under no circumstances is TW-003 to be written in.

Description

TW-003 is an anomalous leather-bound journal, approximately 24cm x 16cm, containing maps of locations that do not exist in any known geographic database. New maps appear inside the journal at irregular intervals, averaging one every 4 to 7 days. All maps are rendered in a precise hand that does not match any known cartographic style. Several maps have been found to accurately depict locations on Earth that were subsequently discovered by M.A.L.I.C.E field teams — in each case the mapped location contained anomalous activity. It is unknown whether TW-003 predicts anomalies or causes them.

Discovery Log

TW-003 was recovered from the estate of a deceased cartographer in ████████. Local authorities noted that the deceased had mapped the locations of several subsequent disappearances in the area before their death. Field agents Miles and Tyler retrieved the journal. No anomalous behavior was observed during transport.
